Black Creek is about a group of early 20 something's driving cross country. But get caught up in Texas due to car troubles. And end up getting more then they bargain for.
Once they go to a small town in to get their car fixed. They start to disappear one by one in a mysterious ways. The Killer is capturing and murdering the people on the will of his mother who deems them un-pure and not of god.
Ones who temp the world with their flesh and well beings whether they know it or not.
This is my first attempt at writing a horror screenplay. And I have to say one of my most well received screenplays as well. I think like 10 out of 11 people who read this screenplay highly enjoyed it.
One person who read it said they liked how the characters weren't stupid and figured out exactly what's happening and how to go about getting out of those situations.
it does a great job at building up suspense without giving away too much too quickly. But when it hits its moments it pays off wonderfully. The violence is spread out through out the entire thing. So it's not just blood and gore for 90 some pages. It has actually character moments in which you care for these people when they die.
I feel that it works fine both as a horror movie and as well a thriller/mystery.
